Strengthening of the Italian Research Infrastructure for Metrology and Open Access Data in support to the Agrifood
METROFOOD-IT at Maker Faire 2022
METROFOOD-IT will be present from 7th to 9th October 2022 at the Gazometro Ostiense in Rome at the event "Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition", the great event dedicated to technological innovation and digital transformation, where schools, universities, research centres and innovators meet to present their projects and share their knowledge and research. In this 10th edition organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome and Innova Camera, ENEA will participate with its latest innovations in the fields: cultural heritage, biotechnology, circular bioeconomy, safety and sustainability of agri-food systems. Visitors and innovators will be able to discover in particular:
-advanced solutions to improve the productivity, quality and sustainability of food chains, reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agri-food sector and increase product health and safety;
-sustainable technologies and processes based on the use of ionizing radiation for the recovery and study of degraded cultural heritage;
-advanced biofuels, innovative materials and agricultural fertilizers from insects;
-technologies against food fraud based on photoacoustic laser spectroscopy;
-activities and research to strengthen scientific excellence in the field of quality and food safety;
-promote the creation of platforms and services for the digitization of the sector, but also the quality, safety and traceability of raw materials and products.
