On behalf of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague, Czech Republic) and Wageningen Food Safety Research (WFSR), part of Wageningen University & Research (The Netherlands), we are delighted to invite all food scientists from academia and industry and representatives of national and international agencies, control authorities, governmental and commercial laboratories to attend the 10th International Symposium on Recent Advances in Food Analysis (RAFA 2022).

In line with the concept of previous events, RAFA 2022 will provide an overview of contemporary trends in:

ANALYTICAL & BIOANALYTICAL STRATEGIES IN FOOD QUALITY and SAFETY CONTROL
CHALLENGES / NOVEL APPROACHES IN FOOD AND NATURAL PRODUCTS ANALYSIS

The Italian NPRR project METROFOOD-IT will be presented with a poster.

In September, a METROFOOD-IT Event on the Role of Advanced Imaging Technologies in Food Research

A new event is scheduled for METROFOOD-IT this coming September. As part of the international conference ICIAP 2025 (23rd International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing), which will take place in Rome from September 15 to 19, 2025, the research infrastructure will host a workshop entitled:

ImagEAT: Imaging, AI, VR and AR in Food Research to Enhancing Safety, Quality, and Consumer Insights.

METROFOOD-IT: Article on the Use of Electronic Nose as a Screening Technique Published in the Journal Food Chemistry

The University of Parma has achieved another important scientific result within the METROFOOD-IT project: a recent article was published in the journal Food Chemistry regarding the use of the electronic nose (e-nose) as a screening technique for detecting fungal contamination in wheat by Claviceps purpurea, the fungus responsible for the production of Ergot Alkaloid (EA) toxins.

A METROFOOD-IT event on June 18 at LAB Italia in Milan

An important event for METROFOOD-IT will take place on May 5 in Milan: during the Tuttofood2025 trade fair (Fiera Milano, Rho), the presentation of the Italian Agrifood Research Network for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of Enterprises and Supply Chains will be held.
