On December 19th, the final conference of the PSR TOMATO TRACE 4.0 Project in Naples

Tomato Trace

The practical application of food traceability will be the focal point of a special event scheduled to take place in Naples on December 19th. Specifically, starting at 3:00 PM in the Chinese Room of the Department of Agriculture at the University of Naples Federico II (a partner of the METROFOOD-IT Consortium), the final conference of the PSR TOMATO TRACE 4.0 Project is on the agenda.

The TOMATO TRACE 4.0 Project, funded by PSR Campania 2014-2020, aimed primarily at enhancing the value of the Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP by strengthening its connection with the production territory. The final conference on December 19, 2023, will be dedicated to presenting the traceability and traceability models developed over the three years of the project, based on sensory, spectroscopic, and multi-element analyses. The initiative will also be an opportunity to present the operational manual created through close interaction among project partners. Another objective is to promote the understanding and application of innovative technologies by businesses in the sector and to discuss potential integrations with regulated controls. Continuing education credits, as per CONAF regulations for professional development, will be issued to participating agronomists.

All information regarding the event's agenda is available in the attached poster.
